Air Comfort receives Gilbane Building Company Award of Excellence for SBC Harvey project

This year Gilbane Building Company held their first annual Midwest Region Contractor Awards Luncheon. Air Comfort was honored with an Award of Excellence for outstanding performance on the SBC Harvey project. Out of more than 200 contractors working for Gilbane last year, only eight were recognized with awards.

According to Pat Conlon, who presented the award to Air Comfort’s project manager John May and president Tim Smerz, Air Comfort met and exceeded his expectations in four critical areas: on schedule, under budget, safety and quality.

SBC Harvey was a $700,000 mechanical renovation project, complicated by the fact that new ductwork had to be run directly over critical telephone switchgear. Air Comfort’s team on the project was:
