How Did We Do?

Did You Know?
9 out of 10 system failures are caused by dirt and dust. A buildup of .042 inches of dirt on heating or cooling coils can result in a decrease in efficiency of 21%.

Training opportunities provided at Air Comfort cover a wide range of topics. Our employees take part in in-house as well as local and factory training. Air Comfort invests over 12% of our budget to continued education. We believe that it may cost money to train, but that the cost of not training is a far greater expense.

Our technicians have the following experience:

• Our men have centrifugal, absorption and screw chiller experience. They have attended local training, but also formal factory training on Trane, Carrier, McQuay, and York centrifugals, absorbers and screw chillers.

• They have gone through the Carrier Master Technician Program, which qualifies us to perform factory start-up on Carrier chillers. We perform warranty repairs when required and have performed refrigerant conversions and retrofits.

• Air Comfort is a qualified contractor with The Trane Corporation to perform service work, retrofits, and conversions on large chillers. We have performed start-ups on chillers for the Chicago Trane Office and perform warranty repairs as required. We have also worked closely with Trane to retrofit chillers with Trane’s latest microprocessor controls.

• Our technicians have been factory trained in absorption refrigeration by Carrier, Trane, York, and McQuay.

In addition, employees have participated in safety training, as well as industry related classes performed in our own training center.
