Air Comfort Corporation is a service-oriented company. It is our mission to provide solutions for all of our customers. Our ability to provide those solutions depends on the people we employ. Our approach is to attract and hire the best people possible, provide proper training, empower them to deliver solutions to our customers, and motivate them to succeed.
We value our employees as teammates, aligned toward the common goal of satisfying our customers.
Respect for the Customer
Our approach is to do it right the first time. However, if we fail to completely satisfy our customer, we will do whatever it takes to make it right. We will always be, above all else, honest and fair. Our goal is always to keep our customers for life.
Respect for our Employees
We select and hire professionals, provide the proper training and resources, and empower them to do the right thing in order to accomplish their objectives and satisfy the customer. We place a high level of trust in our personnel to do the right thing. We encourage good cooperation, teamwork, communication and feedback among our personnel. We promote a close, family atmosphere. We encourage our employees to make a career at Air Comfort, and we try to make it possible and beneficial for them to be long-term employees. We prefer to hire from within for key supervisory and management positions. We are proud of the fact that so many of our employees choose to spend their careers at Air Comfort and are so dedicated to making it the best it can be.
Respect for Suppliers, Sub-contractors, and Partners
Our ability to deliver quality solutions to our customers also depends
on others outside our organization such as suppliers, vendors, sub-contractors, and other strategic partners. We look for quality in these relationships and we try to look at total value, not just at immediate prices. We do not believe in constantly “beating up” suppliers and sub-contractors to lower their pricing. We seek long term relationships based on mutual benefits.
Quality Improvement Process
We believe strongly in the concept of continuous improvement. We always look for areas that need improvement and ways that we can be better, as individual employees and as a company. All of our current senior management has attended the Quality College conducted by ACCA (Air Conditioning Contractors of America), and we work as a company to implement the Quality Improvement Process in many ways:
- Quality Improvement Process (QIP) Quarterly Award – Each quarter one employee is selected who exemplifies the dedication and commitment to quality improvement.
- Focus Groups and Corrective Action Teams (CATs) – Once we have recognized an area of the company that needs improvement we often assemble several employees to meet as a group to examine the situation and devise ways we can become better.
- Goals and Objectives – All of our management and support staff formulate goals and objectives for their position or department at the outset of each year. These goals and objectives tie into the overall company objectives.
- Peer Groups, MIX Groups – We believe in the idea of peer groups, both within our industry as well as outside of it. Air Comfort was a founding member of one of the very first MIX (management information exchange) groups in our industry, called CIE (Contractors Information Exchange). We utilize this group almost like an outside board of directors, sharing all information, including financial reports, details of operations, strategies, etc. We exchange ideas and get input from one another in order to continuously improve our companies. Our involvement with The Unified Group has also been like an extended MIX group, providing a forum to compare information and exchange ideas.
- Benchmarking – Whenever possible we try to compare our processes and results with other companies in our industry. We use whatever means are available, including surveys by trade associations, seminars, etc. The principle means of benchmarking, however, is through our involvement with The Unified Group.
